Caladan

John founded Caladan with over 15 years of previous experience in high-frequency trading at Tower Research, Citadel, Alpha Simplex, and Allston. He has also co-founded frame.ai, an AI startup which was acquired by Hubspot. John holds a Master's in Computer Science and dual Bachelor's degrees in Computer Science and Management from MIT.

Julia leads HR, Legal, Finance, and external engagement at Caladan. She started her career in economics research at Columbia University, and has scaled technology businesses across Asia-Pacific markets. She holds a Bachelor’s in Economics & Political Science from the University of Pennsylvania.

Nigel leads Technology and Operations at Caladan. He brings a wealth of experience leading technology, trading system development, and organizations in firms such as Ingensoma, Spot Trading, Citadel, and JP Morgan. Nigel holds a Bachelor’s with honors from the University of Salford.

Remi leads Caladan’s OTC desk. He is a multi-asset volatility trading expert with 20+ years of experience across equities, FX and digital assets. Previously, he was a Portfolio Manager at Alphadyne, a multi-billion dollar global macro fund, and a Managing Director at Goldman Sachs. He is also a private equity real estate investment specialist and lecturer at a leading Master in Finance program at ESSEC.

Keith heads trading for our partners, including the Caladan API and on-exchange market-making. Prior to Caladan, he was an engineer with Singapore’s Agency for Science, Technology and Research (A*STAR) and DBS Bank. He holds a degree in Computer Science and Computational Theory from the University of Melbourne.

Eva leads investing at Caladan. She started her investing career at Morgan Stanley, and continued at the Special Situations Group in Goldman Sachs and with a prominent family office. She graduated with a degree in Economics from Princeton University.

Michal is the co-founder of Caladan, bringing 15 years of experience as an operations and product executive. Previously he served as General Manager of Shutterstock (SSTK)'s largest subsidiary, where he led a team to more than 20% annual growth. Previous to his leadership roles in product and finance at Shutterstock, Michal worked at BCG. He holds dual Bachelor’s degrees in Finance and Engineering from Wharton and the University of Pennsylvania. Michal is based in Amsterdam.
