Legal Counsel

We are seeking an experienced and motivated in-house Legal Counsel to support our legal and compliance functions.

What you’ll be doing

• Commercial Contracts:
  • Take charge of drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial contracts, with a keen focus on agreements related to token market-making, OTC trading, and our expansion into new markets.
  • Ensure that all contracts are compliant with relevant laws and regulations, particularly those specific to the cryptocurrency and financial sectors.
  • Work closely with our business teams to pinpoint legal risks and provide strategic guidance during contract negotiations and business dealings.
• Employment Law:
  • Handle the drafting and review of employment contracts, offer letters, and other pertinent agreements.
  • Offer expert advice on employment law matters, spanning from hiring practices to employee relations and terminations, ensuring strict adherence to labor regulations.
  • Provide support in resolving employment disputes and, if necessary, assist in litigation proceedings.
• General Legal Support:
  • Offer comprehensive legal assistance across the company's spectrum, encompassing tasks such as scrutinizing marketing materials, advising on intellectual property concerns, and aiding in corporate governance and regulatory filings.
  • Collaborate effectively with external legal counsel on intricate legal matters and transactions whenever the need arises.

The Ideal Candidate

• Holds a Bachelor of Laws (LLB), Master of Laws (LLM), or Juris Doctor (JD) degree.
• Is admitted to the bar in at least one jurisdiction.
• Boasts strong experience in legal practice.
• Demonstrates a proven track record of independently handling contracts, employment law matters, and regulatory compliance.
• Ideally possesses direct experience within the cryptocurrency industry or exhibits a profound curiosity about this space, coupled with the ability to showcase their knowledge effectively.
